This is my review of the abundance course (otherwise known as the release technique).
I have known about releasing, and the release technique for a few years now. The power of this technique is often hidden by its simplicity. Releasing, if you apply it, can allow you to remove your internal blocks, and move forward to not only achieving your goals and desires more easily (even effortlessly, it’s possible – please understand by “effortlessly” I don’t mean without taking action, but I do mean without internal resistance). Not only that, but perhaps the most important thing that releasing can allow you to experience, is the joy and happiness that you are truly looking for. After all, why do you think you want to achieve the goals that you desire? Of course, the answer is that you believe their attainment will bring you happiness and peace of mind.
This is in fact one of the first tenets of the release technique, and the abundance course. Everybody is looking for peace of mind, but they are looking for it outside of themselves, in money, possessions, relationships, etc. This is a losing game, you CANNOT find happiness and peace of mind by looking for it in the outside world.
The good news is – you already are what you are seeking. Joy, abundance and peace of mind are at the very heart and soul of your “being” (I use that word with caution, as it can be used far too ambiguously these days in my opinion), and by removing your internal blocks (negativity that you have suppressed throughout your lifetime) you can begin to experience the peace and joy that you really are, on a consistent basis.
The irony here, is that when you actually start to live from a place of joy, abundance and peace, the things that you used to think chasing after in the outside world would bring you the happiness, start to come into your life more easily.

Positive attracts positive, and negative attracts negative. It’s obvious, even if you don’t buy into the whole law of attraction thing.
So, from this understanding, I can begin to explain to you how the release technique works.
The basis of the release technique is that because we are all essentially, and intrinsically positive “beings”, all we have to do is uncover that positivity, by “releasing” or “letting go of” the negativity that is covering up our true nature.
The reason we quite often don’t experience ourselves as these wonderfully joyous, and peaceful people that we are underneath, is because of our habit of suppressing negativity. Negative things are always going to happen in life – period. The problem is, when we go through life and experience negativity, we quite often push it down, out of our awareness, so we don’t have to look at it. We don’t want to feel things like, apathy, fear, grief, and so on, so we deal with it by using the emotional “tactic” of suppression.
Examples of emotional suppression are; drinking alcohol to relax and take your mind off a bad day, watching TV for hours after a difficult day in the office, over eating or eating again when we have just had a large meal, using sex to change our mood, etc, etc. Pretty much anything can be used as suppression, if it’s aim is to make ourselves feel good, when we have been feeling not so good, or stressed out.
We all have different ways of doing this, depending on our various interests, or lifestyles, but granted, most people have at least a few ways that they will use often, to suppress their negative feelings.
The problem with suppressing all of these feelings, is that they go into what is known as our “subconscious mind”, and begin to interfere with our lives more and more, the more garbage we suppress and store. Oh and by the way, if we do this long enough, we can unwittingly setup very unhelpful mental and emotional patterns that can then dominate our lives in a very negative way, things such as clinical depression, anxiety disorder, etc, are good examples of this happening.

If you don’t really understand what this idea of the subconscious mind is, then just think about a time when you felt bad, and you didn’t want to feel bad – if it’s your mind, and you are in control, then why can’t you just STOP feeling bad right then and there, when you make the decision. The reason is, that your subconscious mind is running the show.
This is why life gets difficult when you start to accumulate a lot of unwanted negativity in your subconscious mind, from suppressing all of your negative feelings over the years.
So… This is where the release technique, or letting go comes in. By using the technique that is taught in The Abundance Course, we learn how to literally tune into our subconscious garbage, and clear it out, feeling by feeling. You see, all of our subconsious garbage or suppressed emotional content, gets stored into our subconsious minds, and we experience that as feelings or emotions in the now.
So whenever you think about something in your life, or in the past that you didn’t like, you will notice that there is an uncomfortable feeling, or emotional upset associated with that memory (basically all thoughts are memories by the way, because as soon as we have a thought about something, it’s a reaction to the already passed present moment).
If you’re understanding what I have written here, then you will probably be starting to get an idea of just how powerful this is!
If you have control over your subconscious mind, then you pretty much have the ultimate control over your life. Why do you think in the past things have been so difficult to make happen? Like when you have a goal, you know what you need to do to make it happen, but for some reason you just can’t get yourself to take action, and take the steps to achieve it. This is because your subconscious mind, with it’s limiting feelings, was getting in the way.
So by releasing, you can clear out your internal blocks, and start to take the actions in your life that will move you to where you want to be. Simple stuff hey?! Now, I just want to say here, that of course, while the technique works, you still have to apply yourself, and follow along with what Larry Crane (the voice behind The Abundance Course) actually tells you to do. If nothing moves, nothing changes!
Probably even more importantly than allowing you to clear the blocks that have been stopping you from achieving your goals, is the fact that as you release all your suppressed negative feelings, using this method, you will start to experience the peace and joy that are natural to you as a way of being. This is one of the natural benefits of releasing. In fact, I probably didn’t mention this before, but releasing IS NATURAL. children naturally let go of stuff all the time, it’s just that we get trained out of it inadvertently by adults, as we are growing up.
